Meet The Author
Hi, My Name is Stephanie Callwood.
Storytelling has always been a part of my life. As a child, I constantly created worlds, wrote adventures, and acted out the stories that lived in my imagination. As I grew older, the stories grew with me, sometimes magical and adventurous, sometimes strange, dark, and a little unsettling.
After years of dreaming and drafting, I published Brigorras Light: The Journey Into Arden’s Cave, a middle-grade fantasy born from my lifelong love of getting lost in imaginary worlds. Now, My Monster Joanne takes me somewhere very different, exploring grief, loss, isolation, cruelty, hope, identity, and the parts of ourselves we try to bury.
I write for children and adults, but the heart of what I do remains the same: I want to create worlds readers can disappear into and characters they can carry with them after the story ends.
